“Excellent”

“We visited Royal Fisheries twice to eat in whilst on a recent holiday in Whitby. The food was excellent on both occasions – the best fish and chips we have had in Whitby. The portion sizes were very generous and the quality of the food was superb. The staff were extremely pleasant and polite on both occasions. Out of all of the chippies in Whitby, this would be the one we would recommend. Thank you!”

“The best fish & chips in Whitby for taste and value. Always get the take away now (have a dog now) but in the past ate in. The fish is always beautiful and the chips are proper chips. The small portion is a normal size and plenty. I totally recommend.”

“Ordered a haddock and scampi meal with baked beans and mushy peas. The haddock was fresh and well cooked. The scampi was a decent portion. Chips were well cooked. Not too crunchy, but not too soft. Good portions too.”

“Amazing food & service”

“Visited for lunch on Monday 27th March at around 13:30. Received a very warm, friendly greeting on arrival and was invited to sit anywhere we liked. We had two Yorkshire Special Cod meals. The fish is the best we’ve ever had, and the homemade crinkle chips and mushy peas were lovely too. We couldn’t fault the meals or service. Definitely recommend.”

“Best in Whitby we had a Yorkshire special cod and a battered scampi with tea and bread and butter, chips had perfect batter, light and crispy with that Yorkshire taste. The service was great, couldn’t fault it, better than all on the sea front. Have a short walk and find it… well worth it.”
